The flat chisel with SDS plus chuck jams less and cuts faster than conventional flat chisels. The self-sharpening reinforcing ribs create not only lateral but also vertical cracks in the material. This results in increased material removal and prevents the chisel from jamming. The serrated cutting edge also allows for faster progress. The chisel is designed for finishing work in concrete and brick, for demolishing or removing walls, as well as for restoring joints and exposing reinforcement. It is compatible with the SDS plus chuck system. However, it can also be used directly with SDS plus hammers with a rotation stop.

The flat chisel with SDS plus has a 30% longer service life and a 15% higher material removal rate than conventional chisels.
